Meredith: Just— go with it, we’re being supportive.
Izzie: Oh, hey! What do you think? Did I go too overboard? I know, I know sometimes I can go a little overboard.
George: No, we love it!
Meredith: It’s great.
Izzie: Oh, yay! I LOVE CHRISTMAS!
Meredith: We know. –Grey’s Anatomy
Last night was our appetizer party with Couple Friends and Couple Baby. It turned out being so nice with just the five of us. If we had another couple there, I think it would have been too crowded. Plus, we were able to bundle up and go check out Christmas lights in our neighborhood. Continue reading I Heart Christmas Lights→
You were like coming up for fresh air. It’s like I was drowning and you saved me. That’s all I know. -Derek, Grey’s Anatomy
One thing that Match and I did every day of our Thanksgiving break was walk. We walked all over our neighborhood, and all over the my old college campus, which happens to be just a short walk from our new place. It was so nice to be outside enjoying the fresh air, instead of being permanently glued to the office furniture at work. I sit way too much at my job, so over the holiday I really made up for it. I got a couple of great shots of the campus on one of our walks; isn’t it beautiful? I told Match ever so casually, “You know they have weddings here right?” 😉 I can’t even believe it’s a campus. It looks like a park doesn’t it?
Some people believe that without history, our lives amount to nothing. At some point we all have to choose: do we fall back on what we know, or do we step forward to something new? It’s hard not to be haunted by our past. Our history is what shapes us… what guides us. Our history resurfaces time after time after time. So we have to remember sometimes the most important history is the history we’re making today. –Meredith, Grey’s Anatomy
Last night Birthday Twin and I hung out, just the two of us, for the first time in over a year. For those of you who don’t remember or know the story of BT, here is some background.
Birthday Twin cuddling with Monkey and me, two summers ago
Match and I moved recently, to the same town that Birthday Twin lives in. We’ve been talking about meeting up for a drink for weeks now, and last night we finally both had some free time. I met up with Birthday Twin at his house and walked downtown to one of the local bars. As soon as I got to his house it was like no time had passed. We were just as comfortable as we’ve always been. Just two old friends hanging out together, and just like that, I was in my past.
There comes a point in your life when you’re officially an adult. Suddenly, you’re old enough to vote, drink, and engage in other adult activities. Suddenly, people expect you to be repsonsible, serious… a grown up. We get taller, we get older. But do we ever really grow up? -Meredith, Grey’s Anatomy
In the craziness of these past few weeks, I haven’t blogged about my birthday! Gasp. Maybe it’s because turning 26 isn’t that special of a number for me. Or that it means I only have 4 more years till I’m 30. Or I’m just too darn busy! But anyways, my birthday celebration was spread out over about a week, and mellow, but fun. Addison: I need this job Richard. I need it more than the others.
Addison: No, I need a reason to stay here. I need a reason to get up every morning. I need to get up and not care if it´s raining or that I´m thirty nine and alone.
Richard: That´s WHY. If you need a job to get a new life you either need a new job or a new life.
Match got a new job!! I’m so excited, I just can’t hide it. Do the happy dance, woot woot. Why am I so excited? Not only is he going to be happier, doing something more interesting and with a lot of room for advancement, but he got a job in the same town as I work in (half an hour from where we currently live, ughhh) so this means we can finally move closer to work! No more crazy long commute. We’re going to start hunting for a place with a yard for Monkey too. And hopefully 2 bedrooms so we can each have a place to go when we need some space, or to study. Not to mention having a spare room for when we have visitors! I can’t tell you how happy I am. Continue reading Match and the New Job→
