In the craziness of these past few weeks, I haven’t blogged about my birthday! Gasp. Maybe it’s because turning 26 isn’t that special of a number for me. Or that it means I only have 4 more years till I’m 30. Or I’m just too darn busy! But anyways, my birthday celebration was spread out over about a week, and mellow, but fun. (more…)

I had to copy my blogger friend Brittany in the title, because, well, we got a duplex too!  We’re moving the first week of October, and I’m so excited! The way everything came together so quickly was kind of amazing. It was one of those moments where it just felt right. We met with the landlords, and I could tell Match and I made a good impression, but I was shocked at how quickly they approved us. The day after we met, we were approved. I’m headed over to the duplex tomorrow to give them our deposit! (more…)

Yesterday was the long awaited Beerfest, followed by a party at Old Married Couple’s house. It was an anticipated event for me for two reasons: 1. It’s a super fun festival where drink lots of beer and socialize with friends, and 2. Match was going to meet Best Friend for the first time. Friday night Match and I went over to Old Married Couple’s house a quiet dinner, that turned out to be one of the most fun times we’ve had with them. Between the four of us, we somehow managed to drink six and a half bottles of wine! (more…)

Last weekend our camping trip was canceled because DC was busy with graduation plans. It was all for the best since Memorial Weekend was sure to be way too crowded at the lake. Match and I made the best of his rare full weekend off, and spent the weekend outdoors bbqing and hanging with friends. I got a great tan, and we both enjoyed each other’s company. (more…)
