Thinking of Changing My Career
Roy: [answers phone] Hello IT. Have you tried turning it off and on again? … OK, well, the button on the side. Is it glowing? … Yeah, you need to turn it on. Err, the button turns it on. Yeah, you do know how a button works, don’t you? No, not on clothes.
[Moss's phone rings. He answers it.]
Moss: Hello IT. Yuhuh. Have you tried forcing an unexpected reboot?
Roy: No, there you go, I just heard it come on. No, that’s the music you hear when it comes on. No, that’s the music you hear when… I’m sorry, are you from the past? -The IT Crowd

This week I’ve been going through a career crisis. I’m good at it, but it was never a dream of mine. I thought it would be a nice stable career, and that it wouldn’t matter that it wasn’t a dream.  I can’t help but feel guilty for complaining about my job when there are so many people without work right now. At the same time, I feel that if I keep going down this career path, I might be one of those people who spends 20 years doing something they don’t like that much, because they were too afraid to branch out and find something that makes them happy. So I’m thinking of getting my teaching credential, eventually.

Not Just Girl Talk
Mrs Green: Oh, this is so much fun, just the girls! Do you know what we should do? Does anybody have any marijuana?
Rachel: [Shocked] God!
Monica: All right, look. Nobody is smoking any pot around all this food!
Mrs Green: Well, that’s fine. I never did it, I just thought I might. So, what’s new in sex?                                                                                             -Friends

There hasn’t been too much going on this week, just working and so busy studying for my night classes. Those two little classes are really eating into my blogging, and I don’t like it one bit! Over the labor day weekend Match and I hung out with Baker Chic and LAX. Match played LAX on the Wii, and loved it so much that we went out and bought one the next day! While the boys played, Baker Chic and I sat in the kitchen visiting. Baker just started up classes at a college two hours from us, so she’s gone during the week, and then home most weekends. The funny thing is, now that she’s moved, we are actually talking a lot more than we used to. (more…)

Public Displays of Rhythm

Niles: I’ve taken Maris to hundreds of these events and she has not once wanted to dance. Of course, Maris hates public displays of rhythm. -Frasier

This last week Match and I have both been working pretty hard. I ended up throwing my back out like an old lady, and didn’t get much sleep because of it all week. Friday after work we had to do a cleaning job for our company, and as a treat we went out to dinner afterwards. We had a great little date night, and over dinner we decided it’d be fun to go out. Bonding with Baker Chic

I believe that the moon does not exist. I believe that vampires are the world’s greatest golfers but their curse is they never get a chance to prove it. I believe that there are 31 letters in the white alphabet. Wait…what was the question? -Tracy, 30 Rock

As some of my readers might know, Match and I have a couple friend that we hang out with every once in awhile, LAX guy and Baker Chic. They’re nice, but Baker Chic has always been really quiet and hard to get to know. We had fun hanging out with them a few weekends back at Match’s parents house, but it was a group thing, and BC and I didn’t really talk much. Friday night We invited them over to our apartment for the first time, and Baker and I finally got a chance to just sit and girl talk. It felt like we finally clicked as friends, and for once conversation was easy. (more…)
