Lorelai: Nothing…

Lorelai: Good. Nothing good. There’s absolutely nothing positive going on anywhere in the world. How could that be?

Lane: That’s why I don’t read the paper anymore.

Lorelai: You will mine. I am starting my own. The Good News Daily — nothing but good news every day.

Lane: Sounds good.

Lorelai: “No civil war in Canada” — big article. “Cars drive down road without incident” — front-page news. “Puppies — how cute are they?” In-depth exposé. And the subscription is free. How happy is that?

This week has definitely taken a turn for the better. After a horrible Monday and Tuesday, Wednesday really cheered me up. First, the Law office called and said I wouldn’t need to come to trial after all. I did the happy dance all around my desk. I had an outdoor wedding. February 12th, I’ll never forget…I had the most beautiful white flannel wedding dress, it even had feet sewn in. -Rose, The  Golden Girls

Last weekend I went for my second round of wedding dress shopping. I actually enjoyed this a lot more. It was just me and Baker Chic, and I think having just one other person was better than having two. Plus, Outdoor Girl has been quite the Debbie Downer lately, so it was nice going with someone more upbeat. Couple Wife and I are going for round 3 and that should be fun too. (more…)

Now that Match has started up his graveyard shift, Friday doesn’t have quite the same ring to it that it normally did. I’ll be alone for most of the weekend, because during the day Match will be sleeping, and at night he’ll be working. I’m no stranger to the alone weekends. When we first started dating, Match was gone at academy all the time, so this isn’t much different. And this way I at least get him for dinner! (more…)

Saturday was Match and Chandler’s joint birthday party. It turned out to be such a blast! Where do I start with the shenanigans that was the party. At first, we just had a few people trickle in, starting with LAX Guy and Baker Chick. We got a chance to visit with them before Match’s cousin showed up as a surprise that I had planned. Match was so excited because he didn’t even know his cousin was in town.

Then after about ten minutes, people just started pouring in. All of a sudden I was in full hostess mode, making pizzas, getting drinks for people, and loving every minute of it. Have I mentioned how much I love hosting parties? (more…)

With shaky legs, ignoring the fact that my action was useless, I followed [Edward] into the forest. The evidence of his path had disappeared instantly. Only 4 more days! The premiere of New Moon! This was my least favorite book of the series, but I’m still excited to see it, because that means we’re that much closer to my favorite book, Eclipse! Can you tell I’m excited? Match and I are meeting up with Outdoor Couple for a double date to see the premiere on opening night. I’ve never gone to a movie on opening night, and I know it’s going to be insanely crowded, but it’s going to be so worth it to see Edward on the big screen. (more…)
