Have Yourselves a Mellow Little Christmas

Merry belated Christmas! It was the first year we’ve ever, ever had a Christmas all to ourselves. That includes when we were dating. I can’t honestly think of a time I’ve had this mellow of a Christmas since I was a little girl. It was just me, Piglet, Match, and Monkey, and it was wonderful.

We started the day off with a little magic from the North Pole. Match’s coworker gave him a huge bin full of wooden railroad track, so we made a track that lead into the living room.

The look on his face in the morning was priceless.

We did stockings and presents, and then had a relaxed day of playing with our little man, eating yummy food, and just being together. It was such a nice holiday. I love this age, and how Piglet has fully embraced the magic of Christmas. I’m so glad that Piglet’s presents were quiet too. Nothing that was electronic and beeping. I’d have had to slip macks ear plugs into Match and my stocking. Instead, Santa brought Piglet a car car wash and car service station that comes apart. He spent hours playing with it.

I got my Christmas wish. I got to spend the day with my two favorite men. Oh, and I got Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which I read in two days (Thanks sweetie!).

Merry Christmas to you all! I hope it was magical.

How sweet! Piglet looks beside himself with the train ๐Ÿ™‚ This year I learned how to hatch a Hatchimal, LOL. I much prefer these quieter games, too–some of these electronic toys are creepy and uhm, loud ๐Ÿ™‚

My favorite Christmases to this day have been the ones just the two of us. We even opened our gifts a few day early from each other, just to have that moment, and not have to haul more gifts to Wisconsin! I love that little car wash!
