TTUT-The Man, The Legend

[Robin complains about Marshall’s depression after Lily leaves him.]
Robin: This has to stop! Ted, we just started dating. We agreed we don’t want to move too fast, and somehow, we have a baby. He can’t feed himself, he cries a lot, he keeps us up all night.
Barney: Have you tried breast feeding? Nailed it! -Friends

  • Piglet and I went to our first outing on Saturday, just the two of us. We went to a BBQ with some friends from church. It went pretty well, except Piglet started a growth spurt and wanted to nurse the.entire.time. I’m not one of those whip it out types (more power to you ladies that are) and I use a cover up, but with being outdoors, and the wind, it just wasn’t working that great. I ended up leaving early because I was tired, and I knew Piglet was hungry. I think he was also just overwhelmed by the noise, people, the smells, etc. I think it’ll get easier for both of us the more we go out.
  • Piglet is 5 weeks as of yesterday and starting to fit into 0-3mon clothes. I love that he can finally wear this onesie from his baby shower! 🙂P1080383
  • Tahoe Couple stopped by Sunday to meet Piglet. I didn’t peg Tahoe Guy to be a baby guy, but he seemed right at ease. Piglet passed out in his arms!P1080393 P1080386
  • Only 10 days until Monica and Chandler move back to California! They’ve been in Scotland for the past year, and I’m so so so excited they’re coming back. She got a job at a Veterinarian just about an hour from our house. I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to have them closer.
  • We didn’t do a whole lot for Father’s Day this year. I made Match a slideshow with video clips and pictures of my pregnancy with Piglet, up through this month. We both got teary eyed watching it. Last night we went out for take out as a celebration of both Mother and Father’s Day, since Mother’s Day I was in the early stages of labor. Next year hopefully we’ll do more, but I think just spending time together as a family of 3 was enough for me.
  • What’s new with you dear readers?

He’s getting so big already! Enjoy every minute! And make lots of noise at home, don’t be super quiet when he is asleep, he’ll get used to it and need it all the time. We vaccuumed, ran the dishwasher, had the TV on, all like we did before we had her. Elise still gets scared at big noises in public, clapping and kids cheering at VBS was a bit more than she cared for, but she does pretty well otherwise. Everyday is a learning experience, since they don’t come with manuals! Holler if you need to bend an ear, no expert here but we did just get through that first bit ourselves not so long ago, so I get it!

    That onesie is awesome. Ha!

    love jenny xoxo

lol love the onesie!!! He is so adorable!

Do you seriously have friends named Monica and Chandler or is that code? because that would be crazy 🙂

Oh my gosh, he’s so sweet – the onesie is priceless! I think for brand-new parents, you guys celebrated Mother’s and Father’s Day in a pretty special way – just before, and just after welcoming your little boy! Kind of awesome, I’d say!! 🙂

That was the perfect way to spend Father’s Day. Ours gets a bit complicated because we have Nick’s dad around and coordinating a get together can be interesting. Chilling and relaxing sounds like the perfect way to spend it.

I was not a wipe it out girl either– though with each kid it got easier and I got more comfortable nursing in public.

    That onsie is hilarious!

I never felt really comfortable nursing around other people either. But you’re right, it’ll get much easier to go out as he gets older and you get used to all that goes into leaving the house with a baby!

Good for you for taking a solo outing with your adorable son! He’s just so handsome. I found solo outings very intimidating in the beginning, and nursing definitely added to that stress. My son usually nursed for 45-60 minutes each time, so it seemed pointless to me to be somewhere and nurse in an uncomfortable chair and without a Boppy…but some women make it look absolutely effortless. Hoping it’ll be that way for me this go-around 🙂 Keep up the good work mama.

I love that you celebrated Mother’s and Father’s Day together. So sweet. Little piglet is getting so big already! What a cutiepie he is. Enjoy every moment, my sweet one. XOXO
