We enjoyed fun weekends of swimming, hiking, potlucks, and time with friends. I started going to church again, and found some strength through renewing my spiritual side.

Match and I spent our fourth year in Carmel as a couple. It was a great trip and we always have such a great time there.

I wrote about our early miscarriage the month before, and what a setback that was for us emotionally.  My family came to visit me, an old friend moved to town, and Match and I went on some great hikes.

We fixed up our backyard and celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary.  I got through Roo’s due date, and we survived the camping trip from Hell.

I got my first tattoo, and I celebrated m y 29th birthday week

September ended on a wonderful note, when we found out we were pregnant again. I didn’t blog about it until a little while later of course. :-)September was the month that lots of joy came back into our household. Join us next week for the final recaps, October, November, December, as well as 5 goals/hopes you have for the new year.

A fun summer and birthday WEEK. I celebrate my birthday for a full week too. It helps that my husband’s birthday is 3 days after mine.

    Thrilled about the new addition!

Wow! That WAS the camping trip from hell! Your poor poor poor poor doggie!

Love your tattoo and that y’all both have one to match. Shel Silverstein is one of my favorites!

Camping and hiking, you are better than me. I want to be outdoorsy, but I am so clumsy and awkward that it is just not in the cards for me!

I think tattoos scare me…. did it hurt? It’s the pain that I think scares me from even thinking I want one but a lot of my friends have them :). And you turned 29 this year, so did I :). We can go into 30 together haha! My birthday is the end of July 🙂

Sounds like you guys went on a lot of hiking and camping trips! We had planned to do a lot more outdoor activities.. just never got around to it. I love your guys’ matching tattoos!

I have never been to Carmel but so many people seem to have vacationed there. Someday I would love to go. So fun that your friend moved back to town- always so nice to have friends close. Did you husband get his tattoo at the same time or did he already have it?

Great recap! And yes- I forgot to mention about the goals for next week- will have to make sure I do during the week.

LOOOVE your matching tattoos so much. I know I’ve told you, but I can’t stop saying it every time I see them 🙂

Love, too, that you plan so many fun trips together.
