Save With Walgreens

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Have you heard about the Express Scripts Program? Tricare, which is the insurance benefits program for military families is trying to remove Walgreens from its network. Read more about  Walgreens and Express Scripts here. I’m not part of a military family, but I completely sympathize with them. I’ve heard a lot of things about Tricare not being the greatest program to begin with, and how dissatisfied military families are with the coverage. Walgreens is doing their part to stay within the Tricare network and take care of their loyal customers.

Right now they are offering Prescription Savings Club at Walgreens. For as little as $10 a year, your entire family is covered. When you join you receive discount prices on your prescriptions. In today’s shaky economy, who doesn’t want a little extra savings? They offer savings on over 8,000 medications. They even offer discounts on pet prescriptions, which would be great for my pup. You also get bonuses when you purchase Walgreen brand products. If you have a lot of medications, this savings club would easily pay for itself.

Huh hopefully they will get it worked out. When Marine was in the Marine’s and we had tri-care I loved it and never had a problem with it! But then again I guess it depends on the doctor’s you go to etc. Actually I miss tri-care right about now! The insurance we have now as non military is not near as good and a lot more expensive. Hope all is well with you!

I LOVE Walgreen’s!! I used to get a text message when my script was ready. It was great. They were so fast too. My company insurance just recently cancelled their contract with Walgreen’s – so, now I have to find a new pharmacy. Sad 🙁 face.

I wonder if Walgreen’s did something to upset Tricare & the company that I work for. They’ve certainly reduced their prices – as I pay less per prescription that I did five years ago.

Okay – sorry to comment AGAIN – but, I just checked & Walgreen’s Prescription Drug Savings Plan is only $5 for an Individual & $15 for a Family. That offer is good thru the end of January.

Then it’ll go up to $20 & $35 (respectively to Ind & Fam).
