My 27th Birthday…Round 2

Phoebe: (regarding Ross’ birthday gift to Rachel) I can’t believe he got you that! It must’ve cost him a fortune!

Chandler: Oh, come on. Ross? Remember back in college when he fell in love with Carol and got her that ridiculously expensive crystal duck?

Rachel: What did you just say?

Chandler: (realizing he’d just revealed Ross’ feelings, he stumbles) Crystal duck.

Rachel: No, no, the love part.Chandler: (hyperventilating) Flennen!

Rachel: Oh, my…!                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Chandler: (rubbing his temples) Oh, no, no, no!

Joey: That’s good, just keep rubbing your head. That’ll turn back time. –Friends

First off thanks for the birthday wishes ladies! 🙂 I was feeling all sad on Tuesday night, but yesterday I woke up to beautiful flowers from my hubby.

Boy am I glad I took a chance on free online dating and met Match. That man is so so good to me! He wrote me a sweet card that was pretty funny. I don’t know if you can read it but it says, No I won’t touch your nuts, stop asking me! Heheheh.

The card on the left is from my Mama. She wrote me this lovely message and a nice little check for some fun birthday money. The card itself cracked me up because at the end of it she wrote, “I can’t believe how lucky I was to have you 27 years ago. Happy 27th birthday!” I called her cracking up as I said, “Thanks for the sweet card mom, but um…I’m 28.” There was a moment of silence, and then my mama, in typical sassy sarcasm that she does so well says, “Well, you know, technically you’re not 28 until around 830 or 9pm, because that’s when you were born.” Lol, love my Mama. I told her it must have been wishful thinking for both of us that it was my 27th birthday. 😉

I used my fun money from my Mama to treat myself to a haircut. The last time I got a trim was 7 months ago. Ladies, I’m such a slacker and I was looonnng overdue. I’m so glad I went in on my birthday because they pampered me, and even gave me a cute style for no extra charge. I love it and I’m definitely going back to her next time I need a trim. I think I’ll try to make it in a little sooner this time. 😉

After getting my hair did I headed over to the craft store and stocked up on Halloween and fall decorations. I can’t wait for fall ladies. Here’s a little sneak peek of my mantle. It’s not much, but I think it’s festive. Hopefully it will encourage the weather to cool down. Come on crisp fall days! I’m so ready.

Match took me out to our favorite Vietnamese restaurant. It’s a little hole in the wall but the food is delicious. I was so grateful that we got a few hours of quality time together before he had to go to work. I spent a lot of the evening catching up with friends who called, and of course I had some sweet comments from my lovely readers. All and all it was a great mellow birthday and I felt very loved. Now this year can go ahead and slowwww down because I’m definitely NOT ready for 29. Maybe I should take a note from my Mama and just say I’m turning 28 again. 😉

Yay! I’m so glad your birthday turned out fun. Happy belated birthday, by the way (I was a slack reader this week)! Here’s to another year of being bloggy friends. 🙂

Your momma’s hilarious!!! I love her response to that! :o) You look FABULOUS in the picture, too. Start telling people you’re 24. They’d believe you.

I know you already know this, but HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER STARTS TONIGHT!!! :o)

    Impulsive Addict

Your own momma thought you were a year younger. Bwhahahahahaha! That’s funny stuff! I bet my mom has to do the addition/subtraction to figure out my age. Her mind is shot. Sometimes she acts me what year my brother was born.

Love the fireplace decorations! I’m ready for fall weather. Not winter….just fall.

I’m so glad you had a great birthday!

Did you get the rafting pics yet?

    Happy belated birthday!!!

Love the hair, looks beautiful! 🙂 Hope you had a wonderful birthday!

Your comments make my day!
