We Want to Know Wednesday-High School Goals

Joey: Do you think I need a new walk?

Chandler: What?

Joey: Well, I’ve been walking the same way since high school. You know how some people walk in a room and everybody takes notice? I think I need a “take-notice” walk!

Chandler: Are you actually saying these words? –Friends

I can’t believe it’s Wednesday already. Well sort of, I’m writing this at 1:30am. This week’s We Want to Know Wednesday came at a great time because I have been trying to force myself to stay awake so Match and I can be on the same schedule this week for his graveyard shifts.  Here’s this week’s questions and don’t forget to come play along!

Hosted by Impulsive Addict, Janette, Mamarazzi and Seriously Shawn

1. What is the first thing you notice about the opposite sex? Are you an eyes or a smile person? Maybe another body part?

I am a total smile girl. I also have a thing for backs and shoulders, but of course that’s not something one normally sees first thing unless you’re on a beach. Match has a great smile and it always makes my heart flutter.

2. If a movie was being made about you who would you like to see cast to play you? And would your movie be a comedy, drama, romantic-comedy, action film or a horror movie?

Ha, I did a post about this a long time ago. I had wished it could be Reese Witherspoon (haha I wish!) and be this adorable RomCom where the leading lady is all poised and perfect. Sadly I am pretty sure my life would be a total cheese ball ABC Family comedy made for tv movie starring Melissa Joan Hart where she would showcase my klutziness.

3. Does your high school yearbook include a senior comment section? If so share what you said about your future goals. Have you met those goals? If you do not have a yearbook just share what your goals where when you were 18 and if you have met them. If you’re brave enough include your Senior Picture!

Oh man. We didn’t have a comment section but I remember it painfully clearly. I wanted to go off to college and major in zoology and then work with dolphins. I proclaimed it loudly to anyone who would listen. That had been my goal since as far back as I can remember. I did go to college and I did get my degree in zoology. Along the way I realized that working with animals, at least in a zoo or water park aspect was just not for me. I did a brief stint working at Marine World where I learned that all dolphin trainers are horrendous bitches. True story! Now I’m coming up on my 10 year high school reunion in June and part of me is embarrassed that I didn’t achieve my goal. Then I look at my life with Match and I see how happy we are. If I had become a bitchy dolphin trainer we might never have met. I wouldn’t change where I’m at for the world.

This isn’t my senior picture but it’s a picture from my senior prom. Who stands like that? I guess I thought I had belly fat. I’d kill for that waistline now! And no, my boobies aren’t much bigger even now, but I have learned about the wonders of push up bras.  How much do you like the eyeshadow? I know you’re jealous of my mad makeup skillz.
4. What latest trend simply baffles you?

Ugh…there are many things. I have a huge problem with skinny jeans. I just don’t get them and I think most people look ridiculous in them. Sorry, I said it.

5. When you walk into a room how do you present yourself? Do you walk in with confidence and command the attention of others or do you slink in and do your best to go unnoticed?

I strut in. Just kidding. That depends on the situation. If it’s a party I practically tap dance into the room. If it’s  a mellow get together, I guess I walk in like a normal person. I never ever slink in.

Your 10 is in June? We are having ours in August! Can’t believe I’ve been out of high school 10 years.

It’s funny to go back and look what our goals are and different paths life has taken.

    I’m with you — I don’t get skinny jeans!!

And I would totally watch the made for TV movie 🙂

Well you kind of DID reach your HS goal, you just decided that it wasn’t a lifetime thing for you, I don’t think that’s anything to be embarassed about! You reached your goal and then some, haha

Skinny jeans ARE the worst, especially on boys…I mean seriously, wth!

so cute! Don’t get the skinny jeans either…..esp on men!
You so look like a young kate hudsen in that prom photo…..
and too funny about Melissa Joan Hart playing you!! I’d watch it.

    Connie @ YoungandRelentless

I don’t like skinny jeans either. I’ve never been skinny.

I’m going to my husband’s 30 year reunion this year!!

    Seriously Shawn

Yes girl, a tight chest with a great smile is a must. None of that David Hasslehoff boobie movement when a man runs!

Anither clutz? I think Melissa is adorable, great choice.

THat picture of you from high school…I thought you had entered another star picture. You look like LeAnn Rimes!

I have skinny jeans, well as skinny as they can get for a girl my size. But they’re not “that” kind of skinny, they’re Miss Me and they look great with flats or heels. Really I swear!

That’s right, don’t you EVER slink. Nobody puts Baby in a corner!

I don’t understnad skinney jeans for men–but then I don’t get the pants falling off the rear for men either.

I’m glad I’m not alone in the skinny jean world.. and super glad you’re a Reese fan too.. Melissa is a cutie also though! I used to watch her show Teenage Witch religiously.. hah… Zoology, wow! That sounds pretty cool!!! Its funny how we change so much from highschool and keep changing as we go!! Great post!! thanks for linkin’ up and staying awake late for Match!

Ha! My obsession/goal in middle and high school that I proclaimed to anyone who would listen was to get my degree in ichthyology and then work with sharks and have a Discovery Channel show. Then, alas, I realized when you study sharks you also have to study tides…and currents…and plankton…and well I didn’t really like those things. Or science. You look so pretty in your high school picture!

    Impulsive Addict

I looooove a nice smile! And straight teeth! lol

Girl, I’m sure I have you beat in klutziness! I promise!

I am loving the DG cirra 2001. How cute are you??? I think most of us wish we had our 18 year old bodies back.

We share the same hatred for skinny jeans. GOOD! And Shawn says hers aren’t bad. THEY ALL ARE! lol

I could totally see you strutting into a room….don’t you lie! lol

Thanks for linking up again my friend!

I love it! And I personally think (based on the prom picture) that you look like Leann Rhimes.

A nice smile is pretty fantastic, but I am all about personality.

Skinny jeans are not pretty. Ever. YUCK.

I want to like skinny jeans…I even bought a pair (that I just can’t bring myself to wear), but I just can’t.
BUT, my biggest fashion trend pet peeve? Tights as pants.

Ugh, skinny jeans are so dumb. And I’d watch your movie==I’m a sucker for those cheesy ABC Family shows!

Gosh, I feel so old! I’m coming up on my 25yr reunion from HS. Well, if they have one…plus I’ve never even gone to any!

Everyone’s hating on skinny jeans but so many people wear them! I don’t like them on guys but on the right girl I think they’re ok. Definitely not for my old butt!
