Bachelor/ette Party Planning

Rachel: [to Monica] You’re going to love this cake! I got it from a bakery in New Jersey, Carino’s!
Monica: That place has the creamiest frosting! I used to hitchhike there when I was a kid!
Rachel: Well, they make make these great novelty cakes in different shapes; and if you give them a photo, they’ll copy it in icing!
Monica: Did you do a picture of Emma?
Rachel: On a cake shaped like a bunny!
Ross: Does this bakery by any chance bake erotic cakes, for bachelorette parties?
Rachel: What are you talking? -OH, MY GOD! They put my baby’s face on a penis!
[Everyone rushes to see the cake.]
Phoebe: Now it’s a party! –Friends

I think a lot of you won’t be surprised when I tell you that Match and I decided we wanted to have a co-Bachelor/Bachelorette party, or some call them a “Jack and Jill” party. We’re each other’s best friends and we don’t really like the all girls or all guys get togethers that much. Match might go bachelor paintballing one of these nights, and I may have some girls over for wine, but for the crazy partying, we prefer to be together.

My friend Baker Chic wanted to throw it, and has a ton of games and fun decorations planned for it. She won’t tell me the details but in almost all of them it will be a battle  of the sexes, or girls vs. guys. She also came up with this adorable theme: Black and White or Animal Print-Classy or Classless! Is that not so fun? There are so many different ways this can be interpreted and ways to make it fun. I’ve decided I want to use both parts of the theme, so I’m going with Zebra being that it’s animal print AND black and white. I’m on the hunt for my perfect outfit. I want something sexy and fun but not over the top. Plus keep in mind I’ll have my big hot pink “Bride to Be” sash on. I’m searching for a black skirt with zebra top, or maybe a zebra dress, though I seem to be striking out there. I also don’t want to spend very much on it.
Here are some that I’ve found online so far:

Do you love how the mannequin has sass? I’d pair this top with a black short skirt.

Also, here’s a few ideas I had for Match. He’s going to wear black dress pants, a black pinstripe button up shirt that makes him look so sexy, and we’re going to give him a hot pink button or something that says “Groom to Be”.

Btw I’d totally buy the coat too if he’d actually wear it, which he wouldn’t!

I told him I want to get him a hat and he was all on board with the idea. I think it’d be great if I could find him a Zebra tie as well.

What do you guys think? Any other suggestions for either of us, or places I can find these items for cheap?

The party is set for August 21st and I can’t wait! SoDid you have a bachelor or bachelorette party? Did you do a Jack and Jill party instead?

Would you think I’m totally lame if I told you I’d never heard of a Jack and Jill party before? What a great idea, though! I wish we’d done it!
