New Year’s Resolutions

Fresh starts thanks to the calendar they happen every year —just set your watch to January, our reward for surviving the holiday season is a new year. Bringing on the great tradition of new years resolutions, put your past behind you and start over. It’s hard to resist the chance of a new beginning, a chance to put the problems of last year to bed. -Meredith, Grey’s Anatomy

It’s that time of year again: New Year’s Resolutions! I have a few that I really hope to stick to this year.

Since I don’t know of a magical diet pill that works (and because they’re pretty darn unhealthy) I have resolved to get my butt in gear the old fashioned way-hard work and cutting down on my portions. I refuse to fully diet because I just can’t do it, but I can cut back on sweets and portions. Diets I feel just make it feel like you’re missing out you know?

This past year I managed to get almost all of my old scrapbooking projects done and this year I resolve to finish the final handmade scrapbook. After it’s done, all others will be done the Mixbook way. They just look so much better than anything I can do, plus they save money. It’s actually cheaper to buy one than print each picture myself!
I’m also resolving to be a little less critical of others. I don’t always blog about it, but I know I can be a tad snarky at times. Match has even pointed out that I can be quick to judge others, and it’s something I want to work on.

Finally, I resolve to not to get all bridezilla-y in this wedding planning. My Virgo overplanning tendencies are going to be tested as it is, and I need to not let things get to me.

What are your New Year’s resolutions my lovely readers? Anything big you’re working on?

Oh yes I know all too well. :oP I like how you’re doing it though – slow and steady. It’s really the only thing that truly works. Happy New Year!

Love your blog! Super cute! Happy wedding planning! The best advice someone gave me while planning was to be sure and remember that just because you’re getting married doesn’t mean everyone else’s world stops. Kind-of a harsh reality. Haha. But it definitely kept me from being bridezilla!! And your friends and fam soo appreciate it!

Very good resolutions. I like them. I try not to ‘diet’ either because I know I’ll sabatage it. I’ll call it anything BUT a diet! I hope you’re able to stick with them.

PS. I found your blog through SITS. Your comment was 2 above mine! 🙂
