Fresh starts thanks to the calendar they happen every year —just set your watch to January, our reward for surviving the holiday season is a new year. Bringing on the great tradition of new years resolutions, put your past behind you and start over. It’s hard to resist the chance of a new beginning, a chance to put the problems of last year to bed. -Meredith, Grey’s Anatomy
It’s that time of year again: New Year’s Resolutions! I have a few that I really hope to stick to this year.
Since I don’t know of a magical diet pill that works (and because they’re pretty darn unhealthy) I have resolved to get my butt in gear the old fashioned way-hard work and cutting down on my portions. I refuse to fully diet because I just can’t do it, but I can cut back on sweets and portions. Diets I feel just make it feel like you’re missing out you know?
This past year I managed to get almost all of my old scrapbooking projects done and this year I resolve to finish the final handmade scrapbook. After it’s done, all others will be done the Mixbook way. They just look so much better than anything I can do, plus they save money. It’s actually cheaper to buy one than print each picture myself!
I’m also resolving to be a little less critical of others. I don’t always blog about it, but I know I can be a tad snarky at times. Match has even pointed out that I can be quick to judge others, and it’s something I want to work on.
Finally, I resolve to not to get all bridezilla-y in this wedding planning. My Virgo overplanning tendencies are going to be tested as it is, and I need to not let things get to me.
What are your New Year’s resolutions my lovely readers? Anything big you’re working on?
