I Heart Christmas Lights
George: It looks like Santa threw up in here.
Meredith: Just— go with it, we’re being supportive.
Izzie: Oh, hey! What do you think? Did I go too overboard? I know, I know sometimes I can go a little overboard.
George: No, we love it!
Meredith: It’s great.
Izzie: Oh, yay! I LOVE CHRISTMAS!
Meredith: We know. -Grey’s Anatomy

Last night was our appetizer party with Couple Friends and Couple Baby. It turned out being so nice with just the five of us. If we had another couple there, I think it would have been too crowded. Plus, we were able to bundle up and go check out Christmas lights in our neighborhood. (more…)

Good Couple Friends are Hard to Find

Ted: Come on they just got excited, they’ve been looking for couple best friends forever. Barney:This is a website Marshal already made about last night. It’s called itwasthebestnightever.com -How I Met Your Mother

Well it happened. Outdoor Couple broke up. I think Outdoor Girl realized how hard it was to put the idea of breaking up out there, and then just sit on it. She called me last night crying, and told me she’d finally done it. I felt so sorry for her, because it was an incredibly hard decision. Match was disappointed to hear about the breakup, because we both love them as a couple. We seem to be cursed when it comes to finding best couple friends! First Drama and B (but that match needed to end, and badly) and now Outdoor Couple. (more…)

A Scheduled Breakup

Ted: Seriously, where do you see yourself in five years?
Robin: Where do you see yourself?
Ted: Honestly, in five years, I’d probably want to be married.
Robin: And I’d probably want to be in Argentina.
Ted: Argentina?
Robin: Or Tokyo, or Paris. Look Ted, I don’t know where I’m gonna be in five years. I don’t wanna know, I want my life to be an adventure.
Ted: We have an expiration date, don’t we? -How I met Your Mother

A few weekends ago Outdoor Girl and I met up for coffee and to go shopping, and ended up having an all out girl talk/sharefest. I didn’t realize she needed a shoulder to cry on, but I was so glad I was able to be there for her. We’re still new friends, but after our talk I felt a lot closer to her. When I got to the coffee house, I could tell right away she needed to talk. We sat down and immediately her eyes filled with tears as she said, “I think I have to end things with Outdoor Guy”. Weekend Full of Walks

You were like coming up for fresh air. It’s like I was drowning and you saved me. That’s all I know. -Derek, Grey’s Anatomy

One thing that Match and I did every day of our Thanksgiving break was walk. We walked all over our neighborhood, and all over the my old college campus, which happens to be just a short walk from our new place. It was so nice to be outside enjoying the fresh air, instead of being permanently glued to the office furniture at work. I sit way too much at my job, so over the holiday I really made up for it. I got a couple of great shots of the campus on one of our walks; isn’t it beautiful? I told Match ever so casually, “You know they have weddings here right?” ;-) I can’t even believe it’s a campus. It looks like a park doesn’t it? IMG_7052IMG_7053IMG_7054IMG_7056
