Tomorrow Match is leaving for the fire station and won’t return until Sunday evening. He’s done an overnight at the fire house, but it was during the week. This will be the first time we’ve been apart for more than 24 hours since last year when I went to visit my family in Oregon. With our busy schedules, we haven’t had much of a chance for quality time in the last few weeks. Between midterms, social stuff, and work, it’s been go go go. I’m really craving some one on one time with Match, where we don’t have any obligations. Where we can sleep in and just laze around.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m ok with some me time during the day. I have a whole list of things I plan to do while I have the house to myself. Organize the closets (M refuses to fold his clothes, therefore our walk in is now a wade through), finally put up pictures, organize the reading room. and spend some time with Brazil and her baby. I’ve even got tentative plans to hang out with Birthday Twin (more on that to come!). But it’s going to be rough not having Match around in the evening. To snuggle up with while we watch our favorite shows. Go for our evening walk with Monkey. Cuddle up under the covers for some us time. I don’t sleep very well when M isn’t home. I’ll probably stay up watching late night infomercials and convince myself that some product really IS the
best wrinkle cream and even though I’m only 26, I must buy it NOW. On second thought…maybe I’ll use the evening to catch up with you lovely bloggers!

I don’t sleep well when B is gone either. But mostly I stay up convinved there is a ghost int he hallway and I sleep with all the lights on. Last time I scheduled out blog posts for like a week and I did it all after 11 pm. You time during the day is wonderful though

I love my solo nights/weekends when my hubby is away. I love when he is home to, but every now and then I get to stay up late, watch bad movies w/o any complaints.
