Match Meets Best Friend
Joey: These past couple of years, it’s been one big soap opera. I wouldn’t take it back. I wouldn’t… take any of it back, but… I’m glad that it’s over. ‘Cause I like the way things are now. My life being the cruel joke that it is, now that things are so nice… you’re leaving.
Dawson: Jo… if I thought for one second it was the right thing to do, I would stay, but it’s time to go. It’s time for me to get out of this room, and it’s time for you to discover who you are without us. This chapter’s over, Jo. I can feel it.                                                                    -Dawson’s Creek

Yesterday was the long awaited Beerfest, followed by a party at Old Married Couple’s house. It was an anticipated event for me for two reasons: 1. It’s a super fun festival where drink lots of beer and socialize with friends, and 2. Match was going to meet Best Friend for the first time. If you’re a new reader, read here for the whole Best Friend saga, and you’ll see why this was such a big deal for me. (more…)

Not Just Girl Talk
Mrs Green: Oh, this is so much fun, just the girls! Do you know what we should do? Does anybody have any marijuana?
Rachel: [Shocked] God!
Monica: All right, look. Nobody is smoking any pot around all this food!
Mrs Green: Well, that’s fine. I never did it, I just thought I might. So, what’s new in sex?                                                                                             -Friends

There hasn’t been too much going on this week, just working and so busy studying for my night classes. Those two little classes are really eating into my blogging, and I don’t like it one bit! Over the labor day weekend Match and I hung out with Baker Chic and LAX. Match played LAX on the Wii, and loved it so much that we went out and bought one the next day! While the boys played, Baker Chic and I sat in the kitchen visiting. Baker just started up classes at a college two hours from us, so she’s gone during the week, and then home most weekends. The funny thing is, now that she’s moved, we are actually talking a lot more than we used to. (more…)

Match and the New Job
Addison: I need this job Richard. I need it more than the others.
Richard: Addison,
Addison: No, I need a reason to stay here. I need a reason to get up every morning. I need to get up and not care if it´s raining or that I´m thirty nine and alone.
Richard: That´s WHY. If you need a job to get a new life you either need a new job or a new life.

Match got a new job!! I’m so excited, I just can’t hide it. Do the happy dance, woot woot. Why am I so excited? Not only is he going to be happier, doing something more interesting and with a lot of room for advancement, but he got a job in the same town as I work in (half an hour from where we currently live, ughhh) so this means we can finally move closer to work! No more crazy long commute. We’re going to start hunting for a place with a yard for Monkey too. And hopefully 2 bedrooms so we can each have a place to go when we need some space, or to study. Not to mention having a spare room for when we have visitors! I can’t tell you how happy I am. (more…)

Funny Photo Friday-Insanewiches

There are three things a man thinks about. I want a sandwich. I want a woman. I want a woman who can make me a sandwich. -Brock, Reba

Yippee it’s Friday!  I’ve been pretty hungry today, so this Friday’s Funny Photo is focused on sandwiches, but not your average BLT. Insanewiches has just about every weird sandwich combination you can think of. These are pretty crazy, and some of them crack me up too.

mousewichThe geek in me giggles perfusely at this one.

tooltorp1Toolboxes-not just another name for losers. It’s also a sandwich!

downsizewichThis one is called the downsizewhich. I love it because in my house lately the talk has been portion control, and this takes it to the extreme. It was also filed on their site under recession, which made me chuckle. Times are tough!!
