Eric: Man, I thought my brother and I had problems. But you two are morons.
Cristina: Okay, well, swallowing Monopoly pieces wasn’t exactly a genius move. You could’ve really hurt yourself.
Eric: Well, I didn’t did I? Now my mom’s gonna make my brother let me play Monopoly all I want.
Cristina: And that makes you smart?
Eric: You’re fishing through my poop. How smart are you? –Grey’s Anatomy
Sunday night Match and I joined Drama Chick and B for an old fashioned game of Monopoly. The last time I played I ended up beating Match pretty badly. So he was happy as could be when I made a poor deal with him and he wound up monopolizing on Board Walk and Park Place and basically screwing the rest of us. It was fun to joke around and talk smack to each other while dealing with our fake money. If only we could pass go in real life. Sigh.
The highlight of the evening was Gizmo, DC’s adorable new kitten. I posted about him in my Wordless Wednesday, but I just couldn’t resist sharing this picture with you guys. The little guy couldn’t resist our game. I’m pretty sure he was trying to buy up the railroads. He stole the show with his adorable kitten-ness. He tore throw B’s house, almost knocking down wine glasses, diving under the tv stand only to spring up and reappear tangled up in my hair or under Match’s armpit.
I don’t like cats all that much as a whole, but kittens are pretty irresistible.
It was a fun evening, even though DC did whine an awful lot when she realized she was losing. But the rest of us ignored her and she kind of stopped. I’m still seeing glimpse of that insecure, immature girl that I first met, but as she gets to know us, and sees that neither Match nor I find the obnoxious thing cute, I think she’s getting the hint. We have a lot of fun with them as a couple, and hopefully the more we hang out, the less Drama we’ll see in DC.
