What a Year

Maggie: So, Sylvia, what did you and Morty do on your first anniversary?
Sylvia: We went to Puerto Rico.
Maggie: What about you, Yetta?
Yetta: We fled Poland.                                       –The Nanny

I was perusing my blog roll during the last part of the workday, checking to see what my fellow bloggers have been up to. I saw that Miss Brittany, the SuperGoddess just celebrated her blogoversary. I congratulated her and said, “I can’t wait til my own blogoversary.” I started to wonder when it was, thinking it must be at least 6 months away. So you can imagine my surprise when I looked through my archives and discovered it was yesterday!

I can’t believe it’s been a whole year. It’s amazing how fast the time has flown by. It’s actually hard to picture my life without Match, and the wild single girl I was when I started this blog. Here’s an excerpt from that first blog I wrote a year ago yesterday:

Let’s make the most of this time, and get everything out of it we can. That way, when we do find that man that tames our wild ways, we will never look back and say what if? We will say what was, and then look forward to the future what now?

It’s amazing to see how much things have changed, how I’ve grown, and how I’ve developed such a great group of blogger friends. I think I did make the most of that single time. I dated, I went out partying, I got to know me.

So thank you to all of you who have followed me through this past year of ups and downs, and have continued to follow me through the start of my life with Match. I can’t say what the future holds, but I have a strong feeling it will include him. Hopefully you will follow me throughout this next year, and see what develops. I’m looking forward to the future…what now?
