Grateful for the Weekend

I’m happy to say I’m finally on the mend. This sickness really kicked me in the bum. I’m starting to look forward to the weekend, and I’m so happy it’s Friday.
Saturday will mark my first Valentine’s Day with Match, and I think like New Year’s, we’re going to keep it low key. We are still both getting over being sick, and we’re just going to stay in. Still, I think it may be possible to make it romantic. I am planning on making one of the first dinners we every made together: seared ahi tuna, wild rice, and caprese salad. I think we’ll follow it with red wine and brownies, because you have to have chocolate on Valentine’s Day!

Sunday night we’re going out for dinner with Match’s parents to celebrate Match’s dad’s birthday. They’re stopping by our new place before going out, so I’m going to have to bust my butt cleaning and getting it ready for company. With being gone on vacation, then sick for a week, the place isn’t looking all that great. I just hope I have the energy for it all. Still, it’s nice to have plans other then leaving my butt imprint on the couch. 🙂

I’m so about quiet holidays, Adam is just going to take me out mini-golfing (something we love to do, and did on our engagement weekend.

I’m glad you got the cd! Ha-I put DG, because I thought my postal worker would think I had lost it too.

I can’t believe he said child bearing hips. Guys so important, so clueless.

Oh mini golf! That sounds like so much fun. It was way too rainy here for that, but that sounds like a great date. Match I haven’t done that since July. I think I’m going to see if we can go next weekend. Thanks for the idea! 🙂
