Rachel: No way! The most romantic song ever was The Way We Were.
Phoebe: Uh, see, I… I think the one that Elton John wrote for, um, that guy on “Who’s the Boss?”
Rachel: What song was that, Pheebs?
Phoebe: Um, Hold Me Close, Young Tony Danza.
As some of you may recall from my Christmas post, Match’s parents got us round trip tickets to Seattle as one of our gifts. We’ve both been stressed with Match’s grueling schedule, and we really needed some time away for just the two of us, without visiting family or friends, a vacation just for us. So this Wednesday we’re headed to The Emerald City in search of fun and a little time to relax and be together as a couple.
The vacation is right after Match’s birthday, which is on Tuesday. It’s been kind of crazy hectic getting everything ready, and it seems like all this past week we’ve had plans every single day, up until our trip. It will be nice to take a vacation from our crazy lives and just do nothing. We don’t even have an agenda and instead we’re just going to go up there and see what there is to see. I know a lot of it is just tourist shopping, with a little market full of handmade jewelry and fresh fish, but it should still be fun. Plus from all the pictures I’ve seen, Seattle is a beautiful city.
I’m just excited to get away together, just the two of us. It should be a romantic trip and I can’t wait to leave!
