The 100th

History can be messy and painful but it’s not our destruction. If we’re lucky, it’s our foundation. You just have to work your way through the mess to find what matters, to find the pieces of your past you still want to carry with you, and sometimes, if you have just the right view and just the right castle, you can build the foundation for your new history, all by yourself. -Marin, Men in Trees

Wow, I can’t believe that this is my 100th post on The Date Girl Diaries. I have to say, I’ve never had so much fun writing a journal before. I am so happy that other people seem to enjoy reading it too. One thing I love about this blog is it gives me a chance to look back on my life and reflect. Also, I have a horrible memory, so it is great for helping me remember things, such as what Match and I did last week. 😉

Looking back it’s amazing how much as changed since I first started posting. I started out almost bitter, and then went through my mini party girl phase, then on to hopeful, and then unbelievably happy. I’ve made new friends, lost a few friends that were very dear to me, and I’ve learned a lot in the process.

Maybe someday Date Girl with become something bigger, perhaps a book, or even a movie like I joked around in a post awhile back (it definitely wouldn’t make it into the Christian videos section would it? Hehehe). But even if it becomes nothing more than this blog, that’s enough for me. Because writing on here has helped me learn a lot about who I am.

So thanks to all my readers who have followed me through the perils of being single and dating, to the budding romance that is my life with Match. I can’t wait to reach 200 posts!

No, thank you! I love reading about blogs like yours. 🙂 Blogs about peoples’ personal lives are a dime a dozen, but I find a lot of them tend to be dull with the every day stuff. Yours is interesting, fun, witty, clever while still keeping us up to date with your life. It’s great, I love it! 😀 Keep posting! ;D

Congrats! I first started my blog as an outlet and because I had some spare time on my hands. Like you I enjoy going back and reading some of my old posts every now and then. Helps me to remember fun times and some not so fun times, either way they all helped me to become the person I am today. I love the blog ~ glad you let us come along on your journey! 🙂

Your comments make my day!
